I still want to go to the workshop, however, I need to reschedule my event, what do I do?
We understand that sometimes other important things come up in life and you just can not reschedule those. If this does happen that is not going to be a problem. When you made your investment into the workshop you reserved 2 seats, for you and a guest in any workshop we offer for 12 months. You can simply reschedule with our support team at [email protected] or by calling at 888-807-9964
Is parking free? / How much is parking?
This will vary from hotel to hotel. Some do charge for parking, others do not. The parking information for your specific event will be included in the event details emailed to the address you provided.
Will there be a lunch break / other breaks?
To create the best learning environment there will be a 1 hour lunch break as well as shorter breaks throughout the day. You’re more than welcome to get up to stretch your legs as needed during the course of the training.
Is lunch provided?
Though meals are not provided, there is a 1 hour lunch break for you to go grab a bite to eat.
What time does check in start for the workshop?
The event starts at 9 AM and we will start check in for the workshop at 8:00 AM. Doors will open for seating at 8:15 AM.
Do I need to read/listen to all of my materials I was given before I can go to the workshop?
We do encourage you to read/listen to as much as possible prior to your workshop. However, this is NOT mandatory. You should plan on attending no matter how far you get in your home study materials. These are a great reference library for you in the future as needed.
What bonuses and tools did I receive when I made my investment for the workshop?
When you registered for the 3-day real estate workshop you received 8 educational bonuses and tools to use as a resource library. These bonuses were:

If you need any help at all with downloading your tools and resources please feel free to email [email protected] or you can call our friendly student support line at 888-807-9964 Monday-Friday, between 7 AM-6 PM PST, Saturday & Sunday between 9 AM-1 PM PST. Our support team would be happy to help with any questions you have.
What is the dress code?
You may wear whatever you are comfortable in. Remember that the workshop is a great place to learn, grow and also meet other like-minded individuals! We recommend wearing layers so that you can adjust to the room temperature as needed.
Will Than, Paul or JD be there? Why not?
Than, Paul and JD are actively educating our students and actively investing in Real Estate. But we cannot guarantee they will be at every event we hold. All of our instructors have by chosen by Than because of their real estate experience, knowledge and ability to teach others Than’s investing systems.
If I cannot make Sunday or another day, can I make that day up at another time?
We have found that our students have the best learning experience when they are able to attend all 3 days in a row. Students cannot split up the workshop between two weekend as this can lead to misunderstanding of techniques being taught. If needed, you may also attend just two of the 3 days, as 2 is way better than zero and we are happy to help catch you up on what you missed.
Can I go this weekend and then have my guest go another weekend?
When you made your investment into the workshop you have a 2nd ticket that was included. This second ticket is for your guest to attend with you on the same weekend. Feel free to email us at [email protected] or call us at 888.807.9964 and we are happy to let you know what other events we have that may work better for both your schedules, so you can attend together.
What should I bring with me to the workshop?
You only need to bring a few simple things. The first would be your guest. We recommend you bring someone that you want to learn with, that could be a spouse, a current business partner or close family or friend. The second would be a pad and pen for additional note taking and the third would be a light jacket in case you get cold as we try to keep the room at a nice temperature some find it chilly. You do not need to bring a laptop with you to the workshop.
If I want additional training or coaching, is that something I can do with FortuneBuilders?
As was mentioned at your 2 hour class, FortuneBuilders can take any student as far as they want to go in real estate. We have several advanced and more in depth boot camps and personal coaching that students who have an interest in can fill out an application to be interviewed by one of our advisors to qualify for those programs. These programs are tougher to get into as there is an application and interview process. Please let the team know at your workshop if that is something that you have an interest in as must of our students do.
What can I expect to learn from the workshop?
The workshop is designed to not only be very informative with tangible techniques, skills and practical knowledge that you can take home to implement right away, it is also a very fun and friendly environment. We will introduce you to the same system that Than used on Flip This House and still uses today to manage anywhere from 25-35 deals at one time. We will show you how we find deals to invest in as well as how to raise money to fund those deals. You will learn the 7 step rehab process and what forms and contracts to use to protect yourself and improve your outcomes. You will learn some of the tax strategies of the wealthy that you can use to reduce your taxable income and pay less in taxes. We will unfold for you create asset protection techniques to protect your wealth and family moving forward. You will learn the power of multi-family investing and how one deal done right one time has the potential to change your financial future. We will teach you all that we can in just three days, we know that we can’t make you an expert in only three days however your workshop will be packed with useful information so you can make intelligent decisions on your future as a real estate investor!

How early should I be to the event?
You workshop starts promptly at 9 and check in begins at 8:00 AM, with doors opening at 8:15 AM to find a comfortable seat. Although we cannot guarantee a front row set as those fill fast, you will increase your chances by being one of the first students there.
What should I expect when I get there?
When you arrive at the hotel will you will see signage for Than Merrill’s workshop and our team will be outside the event room to welcome you and to check you into the event.
How long should I plan for each day for the workshop?
Your workshop will start at (9 AM and will typically run to 6-7 PM depending on questions and topic discussions. If you need to leave a few minutes early for an appointment simply check in with our team and they will make sure that you are taken care of with materials to take home Friday night.
Is there WIFI available at the hotel?
Most hotels do have WIFI access in their ballrooms, however, there is usually a fee or charge for it. Because of the size of our workshops we cannot provide complimentary WIFI access.
Are there going to be snacks or coffee provided at the workshop?
Coffee and snacks are not provided during the workshop, but, there are local coffee and snack shops at the hotel for you to buy snacks for yourself as needed. You can also bring snacks with you to the event. There will be water provided to fill up water bottles or to get drinks during the workshop.
Is the workshop presentation copyrighted?
Yes, the information and education in our workshop is copyrighted so we ask kindly that there is NO recording video or audio or photography. If you do want more information on a particular segment you are welcome to speak to your instructor during a break and they would be glad to show you their slide on an individual basis and answer questions for you.
Will there be opportunities to promote my personal business?
To keep the learning environment focused in each students goals to learn about the steps and processes to invest in real estate we ask that there is no soliciting or handing out of personal business cards while at the workshop. The workshop is a fun learning environment and there will be like minded individuals at the event with you.
